Canterra narrows NWT diamond targets

Canterra Minerals Corp. Sept. 3 said it is carrying out a till sampling program across its South Slave project, a group of properties that are situated between De Beers Canada's Snap Lake diamond mine and the Gahcho Kué diamond project, being developed by De Beers Canada and Mountain Province Diamonds.

Canterra has built a proprietary database that includes more than 22,850 till samples, 42,000 microprobe analyses and 71,500 line-kilometers of airborne and ground geophysics in Northwest Territories.

This year's till sampling program has been designed in conjunction with this data and results obtained during the 2014 sampling program.

Samples collected during this program will help to further define drill targets.

In addition, groundwork has commenced at the Hilltop property in anticipation of a 70 line-kilometer OhmMapper survey to be conducted in early 2016.

This geophysical survey will expand upon initial results obtained in 2015 which identified several targets for follow up work.
