Nice gold intercept at Teuton's Clone project

Teuton Resources Corp. Dec. 19 reported 6.43-meter intercept of 17.83 grams per metric ton gold from a depth of 46.33 meters in the first 2016 hole drilled at the Clone property 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) southeast of Stewart, British Columbia.

Hole CL-16-01 was designed to test the depth potential of a trench excavated in 1995 that returned 11.65 g/t gold and 0.18 percent cobalt across nine meters.

In addition to the highlighted intercept, CL-16-01 cut 3.05 meters of 3.07 g/t gold from 34.14 meters and 33.6 meters of 1.11 g/t gold from 78.3 meters.

Cobalt assay results from this hole and assays from a further six holes drilled this year are pending.

Teuton said the last five holes of the program were spotted at the southeastern end of the bulk sampling area from which several multi-ounce gold shipments have been taken.

The Clone gold and gold-cobalt bearing shear zones were first discovered in 1995.

Since then, nearly C$6 million has been spent exploring a series of occurrences lying along a 2,000-meter package of volcanic and sedimentary rocks.

Present ownership of the property is Makena Resources (50 percent), Silver Grail Resources Ltd. (25 percent) and Teuton Resources (25 percent).
