Mixed results from Yellowknife drilling

Final holes tap Sam Otto Main but do not find a connection North of 60 Mining News – May 22, 2020

Gold Terra Resource Corp. May 19 reported that the final holes from its 2020 winter drill program at the Yellowknife City Gold project in Canada's Northwest Territories cut wide zones of gold mineralization in the Sam Otto Main deposit but did not find a link between Sam Otto Main and Sam Otto South.

Three deposits located within a 3,000-meter radius at Yellowknife– Crestaurum, Mispickel and Sam Otto – host 11.62 million metric tons of open-pittable inferred resource averaging 1.4 grams per metric ton (523,000 oz) gold.

Additionally, four deposits – Crestaurum, Barney, Mispickel and Sam Otto – host 1.15 million metric tons of underground inferred resource averaging 5.7 g/t (212,000 oz) gold.

The bulk of these resources are found at Sam Otto, which hosts 10.8 million metric tons of the open-pittable inferred resource averaging 1.23 g/t (426,000 oz) gold; and 185,000 metric tons of the underground inferred resource averaging 3.65 g/t (22,000 oz) gold.

The 34-hole winter program at the Yellowknife project focused on expanding the gold mineralization at Sam Otto Main and Sam Otto South and testing a roughly 400-meter gap between these deposits.

Of the final six holes from this program, three were drilled across a 300-meter stretch of South Otto Main. Two of these holes had the widest widths of greater than 1 g/t gold mineralization ever drilled at Sam Otto.

Hole TSO20-083 cut 50.6 meters averaging 1.3 g/t gold, including nine meters of 3.02 g/t gold.

TSO20-081 cut 51.65 meters averaging 1.18 g/t gold, including 13.5 meters of 2.03 g/t gold.

Gold Terra said these holes were drilled below the current pit constrained inferred resource, which is based on a US$1,300 gold price, indicating the depth expansion potential of the Sam Otto Main. The mineralized system is also open along strike to the north. Only two shallow holes have been drilled in this area, which cut 10- to 20-meter zones of greater than 1 g/t gold mineralization.

The other three holes drilled in the connector zone between Sam Otto Main and Sam Otto South did not intersect any significant gold mineralization.

"Overall, the drilling campaign at Sam Otto was successful in expanding the footprint of the gold mineralized system and indicating the potential to add to the current inferred mineral resource estimate dated Nov. 4, 2019," said Gold Terra Resources President and CEO David Suda. "With the first part of our 2020 drilling program completed, we will now move our sights to further resource expansion with a drilling program on the Crestaurum high-grade deposit as soon as conditions permit."

Situated about 3,000 meters southwest of Sam Otto, Crestaurum hosts 127,000 metric tons of Yellowknife City Gold's open-pittable inferred resource averaging 9.41 g/t (59,000 oz) gold; and 723,000 metric tons of the underground inferred resource averaging 6.56 g/t (153,000 oz) gold.

This deposit remains open along strike and down-plunge.
