White Gold kicks off Titan exploration

Drills turning at intriguing high-grade Yukon gold discovery North of 60 Mining News – July 3, 2020

White Gold Corp. June 29 announced the launch of its 2020 exploration program, including drilling at Titan, a high-grade gold project on the Hen property about 70 kilometers (43 miles) southeast of Dawson City, Yukon.

"We are very excited to kick off our 2020 exploration program," said White Gold CEO David D'Onofrio. "The fully funded program is designed to be focused and impactful starting with drilling the Titan anomaly identified late last year and to follow up on some of our other highest priority projects."

The road accessible Hen property covers North Henderson Creek, a drainage immediately east of Titan that has produced abundant coarse placer gold.

Sampling and rotary air blast (RAB) drilling carried out last year indicate that Titan could be a lode source of this alluvial gold.

One soil sample from Titan returned 113 grams per metric ton gold, and rock samples collected from the area have returned grades as high as 605 g/t (19.5 ounces per metric ton) and 497 g/t (16 oz/t) gold.

The second hole drilled at Titan, HENTTN19RAB-02, cut 32 meters of bedrock grading 14.82 g/t gold, including 6.1 meters averaging 72.81 g/t gold

Titan shows two distinct gold-in-soil anomaly trends along the western and southern margins of a roughly 600-meter circular magnetic low. Six discrete magnetic high features, measuring from 100 to 325 meters long, lie within the magnetic low. The 2019 sampling and drilling was carried out in the southwestern part of this target area.

The first phase of this year's drilling at Titan will include reverse circulation and RAB drilling to better determine the width and grade of the gold mineralized zone and to test a combination of magnetic highs similar to the one which hosts the gold, as well as test soil geochemistry anomalies on the northeast trend at the southern edge of the magnetic low feature.

The RC and RAB drilling will be followed up in August with a diamond drilling program at Titan, which is expected to primarily focus on testing a north-northwest trend that extends from hole HENTTN19RAB-002.

"The quick and accurate delineation of these targets through our disciplined and systematic exploration methodologies is a testament to our scientific and data driven approach and provides additional confidence in the prospectivity of these and our other targets," said D'Onofrio.

This data-based exploration strategy includes detailed soil sampling, ground geophysical surveys, GT probe sampling, trenching, detailed mapping, and high-resolution drone lidar surveys.

As part of this systematic exploration strategy, White Gold crews have initiated ground surveys on other high priority targets across the company's more than 1-million-acre (422,730 hectares) land package in Yukon's White Gold District.
