New gold found in old Newmont Lake core

Resampling 2007 core reveals wider NW Zone mineralization North of 60 Mining News – November 13, 2020

Enduro Metals Corp. Nov. 11 reported that the resampling of core from a historic hole drilled at its Newmont Lake project in Northern British Columbia has revealed a much longer interval of gold-silver-copper mineralization in this hole targeting Northwest Zone than previously realized.

Lying alongside the McLymont fault on Enduro's 648-square-kilometer (246 square miles) Newmont Lake project, NW Zone hosts 1.4 million metric tons of historical resource averaging 0.22% (6.8 million pounds) copper, 4.43 grams per metric ton (200,000 ounces) gold, and 6.5 g/t (291,000 oz) silver.

While reanalyzing historic core early in the 2020 field season, Enduro took a closer look at R-07-09, a hole drilled by Romios Gold in 2007. This hole was originally reported to have cut 19.69 meters averaging 7.82 g/t gold, including 2.35 meters of 27.32 g/t gold.

Enduro took an additional 52 samples over 83.08 meters of previously unsampled core, 18 of which returned new anomalous gold values.

These assays revealed another 26-meter mineralized horizon lower in the hole averaging 2.46 g/t gold, 3.17 g/t silver, and 0.11% copper starting at 56.6 meters.

The combination of these historic and new assays revealed a 156.1-meter intercept averaging 1.72 g/t gold, 2.59 g/t silver and 0.1% copper from a depth of 6.9 meters.

This hole is about 25 meters south of R-08-07, another historic hole resampled by Enduro. This resampling showed that the 2008 drill hole cut 144 meters averaging 3.18 g/t gold and 3.66 g/t silver from a depth of 9.5 meters.

"The R-07-09 results provide additional evidence of previously unknown gold mineralization similar to results from R-08-07's 144.00m of 3.18 g/t Au reported this past July," said Enduro Metals President and CEO Cole Evans. "This suggests there is significantly more gold mineralization within the Northwest Zone than was previously understood over much broader intervals."

NW19-12, a 2019 hole drilled about 150 meters northeast of R-07-09, cut 188 meters averaging 1.1 g/t gold, 1.15 g/t silver, and 0.09% copper from a depth of 67 meters.

NW20-09, a 2020 hole drilled roughly 150 meters further northeast, cut 28.3 meters averaging 10.03 g/t gold and 0.36% copper from a depth of 144.1 meters.

Enduro said it is awaiting results from recent drilling that tested targets beyond the area of the historic drilling.

Cole Evans, President/CEO of Enduro commented, "Pending 2020 drill results will help develop the relationship between mineralization in the NW Zone and elsewhere along the McLymont Fault, including our recent success from NW20-09 in the NE Extension."
