Another target, more gold at Dublin Gulch

Drills, trench encounter strong, near-surface gold at Lynx North of 60 Mining News – December 11, 2020

Victoria Gold Corp. Dec. 8 reported high-grade gold results from trenching and drilling carried out this year at Lynx, an early stage exploration target about nine kilometers (5.6 miles) southeast of the Eagle Mine.

The 2020 exploration work at Lynx consisted of a focused program that included 720 meters of trenching, 590 meters of diamond drilling in four holes, and the collection of more than 1,600 grid-based soil samples.

Highlights from the trenching include:

46 meters averaging 1.62 grams per metric ton gold in TRLX20-1.

16 meters averaging 3.33 g/t gold in TRLX20-4.

32 meters averaging 4.65 g/t gold in TRLX20-5.

80 meters averaging 1.35 g/t gold in TRLX20-5.

Highlights from the drilling include:

153.8 meters averaging 0.49 g/t gold from the surface in hole LX20-021C, including 8.4 meters of 6.14 g/t gold from 23.3 meters.

11.9 meters averaging 1.26 g/t gold from the surface, and 13.5 meters of 1.12 g/t gold from a depth of 131.3 meters in hole LX20-022C.

"These high-grade, near surface gold mineralization results speak to the mineral potential of the entire Dublin Gulch gold camp, and in specific Lynx," said Victoria Gold President and CEO John McConnell.

Victoria says the Lynx target exhibits similar characteristics to the Nugget and Raven exploration targets, which are located about five kilometers (three miles) to the northeast. Previous operators drilled 21 holes at Lynx in 1997 and 2004. Since then, however, the target has remained unexplored and has never been assessed within the framework of the company's model for the Potato Hills Trend, which extends roughly 35 kilometers (22 miles) across the Dublin Gulch property.

The style of mineralization and attitude of veins at Lynx are strikingly similar to those previously observed at Olive and Raven, two other gold-rich zones along the Potato Hills trend.

The company says the 2020 results extend and expand upon the known mineralization, confirming the Lynx target is part of the Potato Hills Trend and has the potential to host a much larger and more robust mineralized system than previously recognized.

"Lynx is another example of good geological work by our exploration team in the application of the Potato Hills Trend mineralization model," McConnell said.
