Cassiar taps 46m of 2.4 g/t gold at Taurus

Confirms upgrade, expansion potential of Northern BC deposit North of 60 Mining News – November 19, 2021

Cassiar Gold Corp. Nov. 15 reported that the latest batch of assay results from this year's drilling at the Cassiar Gold project further confirms the presence of continuous zones of higher-grade gold mineralization in the Northwest zone of the Taurus Deposit area of this Northern British Columbia project.

The company completed 11,288 meters of drilling in 34 holes at Cassiar this year, including 4,098 meters of drilling in 15 at and around the Taurus deposit in the Cassiar North project area and 7,000 meters in 19 holes targeting high-grade vein systems in the Cassiar South project area.

The Taurus deposit hosts 21.8 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 1.43 grams per metric ton (1 million ounces) gold, using a cut-off grade of 0.7 g/t gold.

The 2021 drilling at Cassiar South targeted areas that could expand and upgrade this resource.

The company has received assays from four of these holes in the Northwest zone of Taurus.

"Intercepts from all four holes drilled at the Northwest zone demonstrate significant gold grades and continuity of mineralization which underscores an incredibly robust asset that deserves greater recognition in the markets," said Cassiar Gold President and CEO Marco Roque.

Highlights include:

7.8 meters averaging 1.83 g/t gold from a depth of 200.3 meters in hole 21TA-130.

41.3 meters averaging 1.03 g/t gold from a depth of 24.7 meters in hole 21TA-131.

45.6 meters averaging 1.83 g/t gold from a depth of 180.1 meters in hole 21TA-132.

45.5 meters averaging 2.4 g/t gold from a depth of 172.9 meters in hole 21TA-134.

"These excellent results confirm the presence of a wide, higher-than-resource-grade corridor in the Taurus West area that is open beyond the known deposit footprint," said David Rhys, senior technical advisor to Cassiar Gold. "With much of the known Taurus Deposit defined with widely spaced drill holes, this drilling also illustrates the potential to further enhance the resource by better defining higher-grade zones within the deposit."

Assays are pending from 11 holes drilled at Cassiar North, including holes to upgrade resources in higher-grade mineralized areas where historical drilling was widely spaced in the 88 Hill, Gap, and Southwest zones of the Taurus deposit.

The largest share of Cassiar Gold's 2021 program, however, was completed at Cassiar South, an area that hosts multiple historical high-grade gold mines.

Roughly 315,650 oz of gold was recovered from 686,700 metric tons of Cassiar South vein material averaging 15.76 g/t gold. Most of this mining was carried out from 1979 to 1997.

In October, the company reported results from six holes at Bain, a high-grade vein that accounted for 24,000 oz of the historically mined gold from ore that averaged roughly 13.7 g/t gold. Three holes were drilled to the east and three to the west of past mining.

Highlights include:

4.77 meters averaging 35.1 g/t gold from a depth of 187.6 meters in hole 21EB-300 (East Bain).

6.37 meters averaging 12.64 g/t gold from a depth of 143.76 meters in hole 21EB-301 (East Bain).

3.74 meters averaging 1.44 g/t gold from a depth of 248.93 meters in hole 21EB-200 (West Bain).

"Our early success at East Bain confirms a tremendous gold endowment and demonstrates our ability to effectively target these vein systems from surface drilling," said Roque.

Assays are pending from 13 holes drilled at Cassiar South, including holes at the East Bain, Cusac, Hot, Bridge, and Vollaug veins.
