Connecting the VMS deposits at Eskay

Drilling adds evidence TV, Jeff are parts of a larger system North of 60 Mining News – December 10, 2021

Eskay Mining Corp. Dec. 8 said the assay results rolling in from the 2021 drilling at its Consolidated Eskay project indicate the TV and Jeff deposits are parts of a larger precious metal-rich volcanogenic massive sulfide mineralized system.

Covering a trend of VMS gold-silver mineralization that extends south from Skeena Resources Ltd.'s Eskay Creek mine project – between Seabridge Gold Corp.'s KSM project to the east and Garibaldi Resources Corp.'s Nickel Mountain project to the west – Eskay Mining's namesake project lies at the heart of some of the richest real estate in British Columbia's Golden Triangle.

Much of the 98 holes drilled this year at Consolidated Eskay targeted TV (38 holes) and Jeff (41 holes), emerging deposits along the VMS trend that were first drilled by Eskay Mining in 2020.

Lying about 2,000 meters apart, TV and Jeff were originally considered separate deposits. Data from geophysical surveys carried out before the start of 2021 drilling, however, offered evidence that the two emerging deposits may be connected.

The 2021 drill program has added credence to this theory.

"We are excited by results that continue to confirm our hypothesis that the TV and Jeff deposits are members of a larger VMS system that extends along strike and up and down stratigraphy," said Eskay Mining Vice President of Exploration John DeDecker. "Both systems show extensive hydrothermal alteration associated with mineralization."

He said this is especially true for TV.

Including five holes reported in November, Eskay has received assay results from 17 holes drilled at TV this year. Highlights include:

30.41 meters averaging 2.1 grams per metric ton gold and 25.9 g/t silver in hole TV21-47, including 14.17 meters averaging 3.3 g/t gold and 37.2 g/t silver.

35.5 meters averaging 2.2 g/t gold and 28.2 g/t silver in hole TV21-49, including 3.39 meters averaging 12.6 g/t gold and 50.8 g/t silver.

34.03 meters averaging 2.3 g/t gold and 42.2 g/t silver in hole TV21-53, including 5.94 meters averaging 7.5 g/t gold and 151.8 g/t silver.

92.3 meters averaging 1.1 g/t gold and 124 g/t silver in hole TV21-54, including 44.41 meters averaging 1.5 g/t gold and 236 g/t silver.

40.7 meters averaging 2.6 g/t gold and 65.5 g/t silver in hole TV21-56, including 8.32 meters averaging 7.6 g/t gold and 201.6 g/t silver.

140.28 meters averaging 0.9 grams per metric ton gold and 123.2 g/t silver in hole TV21-63, including 47.77 meters averaging 1.9 g/t gold and 287.4 g/t silver.

The company has also received assay results from 18 holes drilled at Jeff. Highlights include:

3.67 meters averaging 6.9 g/t gold and 16.6 g/t silver in hole J21-46, including 1.08 meters averaging 17.8 g/t gold and 40 g/t silver.

12.43 meters averaging 2.2 g/t gold and 10.9 g/t silver in hole J21-53, including 4.21 meters averaging 4.2 g/t gold and 12.3 g/t silver.

8.53 meters averaging 7.9 g/t gold and 17.1 g/t silver in hole J21-77, including one meter averaging 59.7 g/t gold and 127 g/t silver.

"We now have 35 of 98 complete holes back, and remarkably, over 90% display significant reportable mineralized intercepts," said Quinton Hennigh, a technical advisor and director of Eskay Mining. "Many holes from both TV and Jeff are displaying high-grades, a promising indication we are dealing with strong mineralizing systems."
