Ascot drills bonanza gold at Premier

Cuts 1m of 193 g/t gold in the new Sebakwe zone near the mill North of 60 Mining News – July 15, 2022

Ascot Resources Ltd. July 14 reported that this year's drilling has cut bonanza grade gold at the emerging Sebakwe zone on the Premier mine project in the Golden Triangle region of British Columbia.

Located less than 600 meters southwest of the mill being refurbished and updated at Premier, Sebakwe appears to represent an unmined structure immediately north of the Northern Light and Premier deposits.

Highlights from two holes drilled at Sebakwe during the 2021 program include:

One meter averaging 29.6 grams per metric ton gold and 5.3 g/t silver from a depth of 328.5 meters in hole P21-2385.

7.1 meters averaging 36.17 g/t gold and 20.6 g/t silver from a depth of 368.3 meters in hole P21-2385.

0.9 meters averaging 39 g/t gold and 25.8 g/t silver from a depth of 324.5 meters in hole P21-2386.

Ascot kicked off its 2022 drill program at Premier with holes targeting the expansion of the high-grade gold discovered at Sebakwe last year. Highlights from the first six holes of this drilling include:

One meter averaging 25.9 g/t gold and 21 g/t silver from a depth of 413 meters in hole P22-2389

One meter averaging 193 g/t gold and 41.8 g/t silver from a depth of 315 meters in hole P22-2393.

4.5 meters averaging 4.77 g/t gold and 18.2 g/t silver from a depth of 331 meters in hole P22-2393.

Three meters averaging 17.78 g/t gold and 20.1 g/t silver from a depth of 366 meters in hole P22-2393.

"The Sebakwe Zone continues to impress with its high-grade pedigree and growth potential," said Ascot Resources President and CEO Derek White. "In such a short timeframe, Ascot has now defined visual mineralization at the Sebakwe Zone in multiple parallel vein structures over a strike extent of 70 metres and a vertical extent of 120 metres."

Ascot had originally planned to complete roughly 4,000 meters of drilling in 10 holes at Sebakwe this year, but, given the visible gold and visual indicators in the core from this drilling, the program was expanded to 6,091 meters in 15 holes.

"Given its proximity to the Premier mill and planned underground mine development, Sebakwe is a compelling target for low-cost, accretive resource growth," White added. "The geometrical similarities to the Premier and Northern Light deposits adjacent to the south are so far reaffirming our hypothesis that the Sebakwe Zone is a third parallel mineralized structure."

Assays are pending from an additional nine holes drilled at Sebakwe.
