Cantex effusive about latest drill results

Reports three significant intercepts from North Rackla block North of 60 Mining News – August 12, 2022

Cantex Mine Development Corp. August 11 reported an update on the drilling of the GZ Zone at its 14,077-hectare (28,622 acres) North Rackla claim block in the Yukon.

Generated from Cantex' 30,000-square-kilometer (11,583 square miles) regional heavy mineral sampling program, North Rackla was discovered in an area favorable for Carlin-style mineralization similar to ATAC Resources Ltd.'s Osiris deposit in 2010.

Staked in 2012, the ensuing work has identified areas that contain highly anomalous gold and pathfinder elements for Carlin-style and base metal mineralization.

Work so far has focused on the North Rackla claim block.

Exploration at the property commenced with detailed heavy mineral sampling to define portions of the drainages which hosted mineralization. The watersheds were then evaluated using composite soil-talus samples collected at 25-meter intervals along 200-meter spaced lines.

Where favorable results were found, infill lines were completed down to a 50-meter spacing to define the mineralization source. Over 20,000 composite soil-talus samples have been collected on the North Rackla block.

To date, a total of 195 holes totaling over 60,000 meters have been completed between the years 2019 to 2021.

This drilling has defined massive sulfide mineralization at the Main Zone with a strike length of 2,100 meters and the deepest intersections to 700 meters.

Highlights from previous drilling at the Main Zone include:

13 meters averaging 18.04% zinc, 8.09% lead, 0.05% copper, 3.67% manganese, and 150.6 grams per metric ton silver in hole YKDD19-012.

26.5 meters averaging 2.44% zinc, 3.1% lead, 0.42% copper, 4.09% manganese, and 153.6 g/t silver in hole YKDD19-040.

28.3 meters averaging 12.37% zinc, 9.34% lead, 0.09% copper, 3.05% manganese, and 114 g/t silver in hole YKDD19-042.

22.6 meters averaging 4.9% zinc, 8.2% lead, 0.04% copper, 3.2% manganese, and 48.2 g/t silver in hole YKDD19-043.

7.45 meters averaging 23.18% zinc, 9.2% lead, 0.04% copper, 2.36% manganese, and 72.85 g/t silver in hole YKDD20-159.

58.2 meters averaging 5.84% zinc, 2.31% lead, 0.03% copper, 2.22% manganese, and 24.1 g/t silver in hole YKDD20-163.

Additionally, drilling has intersected high-grade silver-lead-zinc mineralization at the GZ Zone, which is 500 meters away from the Main Zone.

The latest batch of assay results include significant intercepts in three holes drilled at GZ Zone; highlights include:

11 meters averaging 9.23% zinc, 2.48% lead, 0.04% copper, 2.65% manganese, and 36.62 g/t silver in hole YKDD22-224.

Five meters averaging 29.48% zinc, 9.53% lead, 0.02% copper, 1.04% manganese, and 115.97 g/t silver in hole YKDD22-226.

Nine meters averaging 12.93% zinc, 5.1% lead, 0.01% copper, 0.84% manganese, and 58.72 g/t silver in hole YKDD22-228.

Assay results are pending from 29 of the 36 holes drilled this year at North Rackla.
