Tectonic knows where Seventymile gold is

Hits gold in all nine 2022 holes; validates exploration model North of 60 Mining News – September 23, 2022

Tectonic Metals Inc. Sept. 20 said all nine of the reverse circulation holes drilled this year at Seventymile cut gold mineralization on this district-scale property in eastern Alaska.

Optioned from Doyon Ltd., an Alaska Native regional corporation, Seventymile covers an underexplored 25-mile- (40 kilometers) long greenstone belt about 37 miles (59 kilometers) east of the town of Eagle, Alaska.

Tectonic's 2022 drilling tested four targets along a roughly five-mile (eight kilometers) subsection of the greenstone belt known as the Flume trend. This included six holes at Flanders and one each at Alder, Bonanza, and Flume.

Highlights from the drilling include:

4.57 meters averaging 1.81 grams per metric ton gold from a depth of 88.4 meters in hole SMRC22-001 (Flanders).

6.1 meters averaging 1.5 g/t gold from a depth of 123.4 meters in hole SMRC22-001 (Flanders).

1.53 meters averaging 59.4 g/t gold from a depth of 108.2 meters in hole SMRC22-002 (Flanders).

4.57 meters averaging 2.71 g/t gold from a depth of 195.1 meters in hole SMRC22-003 (Flanders).

4.57 meters averaging 3 g/t gold from a depth of 190.5 meters in hole SMRC22-004 (Flanders).

15.24 meters averaging 1.6 g/t gold from a depth of 102.1 meters in hole SMRC22-005 (Flanders).

4.57 meters averaging 1.22 g/t gold from a depth of 7.62 meters in hole SMRC22-007 (Alder).

4.57 meters averaging 1.39 g/t gold from a depth of 19.8 meters in hole SMRC22-007 (Alder).

7.62 meters averaging 0.99 g/t gold from a depth of 35.1 meters in hole SMRC22-007 (Alder).

13.71 meters averaging 1.68 g/t gold from a depth of 25.9 meters in hole SMRC22-009 (Flume).

4.57 meters averaging 3.46 g/t gold from a depth of 76.2 meters in hole SMRC22-009 (Flume).

10.67 meters averaging 1.98 g/t gold from a depth of 83.8 meters in hole SMRC22-009 (Flume).

Tectonic Metals President and CEO Tony Reda says this drilling confirmed the company's geological model that gold mineralization along the Flume trend is associated with high iron basalt near structural contacts.

"This validation of our exploration model will give us the ability to focus, refine and vector our exploration efforts more efficiently going forward, both as we continue to expand the known mineralized zones and search for additional mineralized centres in areas of cover along the Flume trend," he said.

Encouraged by the results, Tectonic says it will be furthering its understanding of the controls of mineralization by integrating the new 2022 drill data with its existing geophysical, geological, and geochemical datasets for Seventymile.
