Snowline cuts wide Valley gold intercepts

Intersects 318.8m of 2.55 g/t gold, awaits remaining assays North of 60 Mining News – October 14, 2022

Snowline Gold Corp. Oct. 12 said the 318.8 meters of 2.55 grams per metric ton gold cut in hole V-22-010 is changing the company's perception of the Valley zone on its Rogue project in the Yukon and intrusion-related gold systems at large.

As a relatively new junior to the various rich projects in the Yukon, Snowline has shown it is quickly emerging as one of northern Canada's most active and enticing gold explorers.

You can read about the company, and its plans for the Yukon at Junior shines light on gold discoveries in the October 7, 2022, edition of North of 60 Mining News.

The Valley zone on Snowline's Rogue property in eastern Yukon is an intrusive-related gold discovery that the company began testing this year.

In August, Snowline reported two holes that cut broad zones of strong gold mineralization. Highlights from these previously reported holes include:

331.3 meters averaging 1.03 g/t gold from a depth of 7.7 meters in hole V-22-005.

288 meters averaging 2.3 g/t gold from a depth of 5.1 meters in hole V-22-007.

The latest assay result is from hole V-22-010, which was drilled about midway between V-22-005 and V-22-007.

The 318.8 meters of 2.55 g/t gold cut from a depth of three meters in V-22-010 included a 108-meter subsection averaging 4.14 g/t gold.

"In the context of our initial 2022 drill assays from V-22-005 and V-22-007, these latest results highlight a continuity of mineralization at Valley that we were hoping to see, with grades exceeding our expectations," said Snowline Gold CEO Scott Berdahl. "The results change once again the way we think about the Valley gold system, and they continue to challenge conventional perceptions of reduced-intrusion related gold systems in general."

Gold mineralization in V-22-010 continued for roughly 73 meters downhole past the initial intrusive-hornfels contact at 321.8 meters. Similar to hole V-22-07, V-22-010 encountered polyphase granodiorite to diorite intrusion, with multiple generations of gold-bearing quartz veins in the core. The hole is notable for both its high vein densities and relative abundance of trace, fine-grained visible gold, with more than 120 instances of gold grains observed along the length of the hole.

Furthermore, the hole exhibits a relatively high degree of consistency in gold grade.

Of the top 108 meters, 79 of 111 samples assayed higher than 2 g/t gold – representing 77.4 meters or 71.7% of the downhole interval.

The lowest assay over this same stretch returned 0.59 g/t gold over one meter from 107 meters downhole.

Of the entire 318.8-meter interval reported from surface, 67.4% by distance, returned assays above 1 g/t gold.

While high grades of up to 43.7 g/t gold have been found, they are not primary drivers of the broader mineralized intervals. Thus, applying a cap at 10 g/t gold reduces the top 108 meters of the hole by just 13.5% or 3.58 g/t gold, while the broader 318.8-meter interval is affected less, dropping 7.8% or 2.35 g/t gold.

Assays are still pending for 28 of 32 holes.

"We eagerly await the many forthcoming analytical results from our 2022 drill programs at Valley and Gracie, along with those from our very active surface exploration season across Snowline's Yukon portfolio," said Berdahl.
