Betty and Mascot reveal exciting results

White Gold announces impressive 2022 initial drilling results North of 60 Mining News – December 2, 2022

White Gold Corp. Nov. 28 announced positive results from the 2022 drill program at the Betty Ford and Mascot targets on the company's Betty property in Yukon's White Gold District, reporting that one hole drilled at Betty Ford cut 55.2 meters averaging 1.5 grams per metric ton gold, and one at Mascot that cut 27.4 meters averaging 1.14 g/t gold.

"We are pleased to have encountered additional broad zones of near-surface gold mineralization on the Betty property," said White Gold CEO David D'Onofrio.

White Gold's Betty property is approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) east of Newmont Corp.'s Coffee Gold deposit and 15 kilometers (nine miles) northeast of Western Copper and Gold Corp.'s Casino deposit.

The latest assays represent positive initial results from White Gold's 2022 fully funded $6 million exploration program on the extensive and underexplored 350,000-hectare (865,000 acres) land package in the White Gold District.

Drilling at Betty Ford focused on testing the depth and strike extents of the gold mineralized zone identified last year during the maiden drilling program, which included 50 meters averaging 3.46 g/t gold in hole BETFD21D003 and 48 meters averaging 1.17 g/t gold in hole BETFD21D001.

Found within the heart of the Betty property, the Betty Ford target forms an approximately 1,000-meter-long east-west trending gold-in-soil anomaly with gold values ranging from trace up to 1,961 parts per billion gold.

Maiden diamond drilling in 2021 intersected a newly identified polylithic breccia unit that hosts significant near-surface gold mineralization. The five diamond and two reverse circulation holes drilled at Betty Ford this year were intended to further evaluate the Betty Ford target to determine the extent and continuity of that mineralization.

The most significant intercept from the drilling at Betty Ford was a 55.15-meter intercept in hole BETFD22D007 averaging 1.5 g/t gold from a depth of 22.85 meters, which ultimately extended gold mineralization by 40 meters along strike to the east and 70 meters at depth. The total strike length has also been increased to 140 meters and remains open.

Holes 008 and 009 were drilled 100 meters west of 2021 hole BETFD21D001. Hole 009 intersected a broad fault zone, now entitled the Betty Ford Fault, which appears to truncate the near-surface oxidized and interpreted gold-bearing portion of the breccia unit.

"Drilling at the Betty Ford has considerably extended the recently discovered high grade gold zone (3.46 g/t over 50m) which remains open along strike," said D'Onofrio.

Maiden Mascot drilling

As for Mascot, drilling in 2022 represents the maiden diamond drilling at this target and follows up on historical RC drilling carried out in 2012.

Drilling focused on three known gold mineralized zones – Page, Boop, Davis – where historical RC drilling encountered significant gold and silver mineralization, including 41.1 meters averaging 2.62 g/t gold and 107 g/t silver in hole BETR12-002 at Page; 3.1 meters averaging 29.75 g/t gold in hole BETR12-012 and 10.7 meters averaging 2.19 g/t gold in hole BETR12-014, including 3.1 meters 6.05 g/t gold at Boop; and 21.3 meters averaging 1.48 g/t gold in hole BETR12-007 at Davis.

Assays received from the 2022 diamond and RC drilling at Mascot include from the Davis zone:

27.43 meters averaging 1.14 g/t gold at a depth of 6.1 meters in hole BETMAS22RC005, including 1.53 meters averaging 8.74 g/t gold.

3.05 meters averaging 1.24 g/t gold, 9.14 meters averaging 1.48 g/t gold, and 7.62 meters averaging 4.13 g/t gold in hole BETMAS22RC004.

17.25 meters averaging 2.02 g/t gold at an upper zone grading over 8.6 meters and a lower zone grading which cut 68.5 meters averaging 1.25 g/t gold over 17.35 meters in hole BETMAS22D008.

3.95 meters averaging 2.85 g/t gold, 1.25 meters averaging 4.17 g/t gold, and 1.6 meters averaging 7.42 g/t gold in hole BETMAS22D007, including half a meter averaging 23.7 g/t gold.

4.5 meters averaging 1.11 g/t gold, half a meter averaging 8.94 g/t gold, 2.95 meters averaging 1.29 g/t gold, 0.8 meters averaging 4.54 g/t gold, and half a meter averaging 3.41 g/t gold in hole BETMAS22D010.

The remaining results from the Page zone include:

3.25 meters averaging 1.44 g/t gold, 145.48 g/t silver, 1.49% zinc, and 0.86% lead in hole BETMAS22D004.

14.8 meters averaging 1.13 g/t gold, 33.71 g/t silver, 0.37% zinc, and 0.2% lead in hole BETMAS22D006.

The 2022 maiden diamond drilling at Mascot tested three of the highest priority mineralized zones identified from previous operator Ethos Gold Corp.'s 2012 RC program. Prior to initiating the 2022 program, five RC holes totaling 400.8 meters were strategically drilled (one at Page and two holes each at Davis and Boop) primarily to collect borehole optical televiewer data, which provided key structural information and helped determine the orientation of structures and mineralized zones.

"Maiden diamond drilling at the Mascot successfully encountered several gold and multi-element mineralized zones and has improved our understanding of the structural geological controls of the system," said the White Gold CEO. "We look forward to following up on these positive results and continuing to explore this prolific area which hosts large gold and copper-gold deposits."
