Sitka drills new best hole at RC Gold

Step out hole reveals Blackjack has wide open area to explore North of 60 Mining News – September 29, 2023

Sitka Gold Corp. Sept. 26 announced that drill hole 47, the fifth hole completed during the 2023 season, has produced the best gold intercepts drilled to date at its RC Gold project in Yukon, Canada.

"Hole 47 is our best drill hole to date, returning 219 metres of 1.34 g/t gold including very significant sub-intervals such as 124.8 metres of 2.01 g/t gold and 14 metres of 5.53 g/t gold," said Sitka Gold CEO Cor Coe.

Early in September, Sitka highlighted results from its first three 2023 holes and then shortly followed up with results from the fourth.

Highlights from the previous results from this year's drilling include:

449 meters averaging 0.74 g/t gold from surface in hole DDRCCC-23-043, including a 14-meter segment averaging 3.28 g/t gold.

161.8 meters averaging 0.71 g/t gold from a depth of 107.2 meters in DDRCCC-23-044, including 16 meters averaging 2.36 g/t gold.

52.5 meters averaging 0.51 g/t gold from a depth of 57 meters in DDRCCC-23-045, including two meters averaging 1.87 g/t gold.

56 meters averaging 1.23 g/t gold from a depth of 134 meters in DDRCCC-23-046, including 6.2 meters averaging 2.5 g/t gold, as well as 9.6 meters averaging 2.81 g/t gold; and 38.2 meters averaging 4.15 g/t gold from 326.1 meters, including 4.4 meters averaging 33.1 g/t gold, as well as 1.2 meters averaging 108 g/t gold.

DDRCCC-23-047 intersected the longest section of multi-gram gold mineralization seen in drilling to date on the RC property.

Highlights from 047 include:

219 meters averaging 1.34 g/t gold from a depth of 190 meters, including 124.8 meters averaging 2.01 g/t gold, 55 meters averaging 3.11 g/t gold, and 14 meters averaging 5.53 g/t gold.

"What is particularly noteworthy is that, while Hole 47 is the best hole drilled to date when looking at interval length and grade, its location is in a wide open area at the southern extent of the Blackjack zone, whereas the previous reported Hole 46 was drilled 405 metres to the northeast and returned the highest grade interval ever drilled in the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex (1.2 m of 108 g/t gold)," added Coe. "Both of these drill holes are wide open step outs from the maiden resource at the Blackjack deposit investigating the gold mineralization within the metasediments and the intrusive rocks, and underscore that this deposit and the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex area are just beginning to reveal the true potential they have to develop significant ounces."

Hole 47 was located at the south margin of the current Blackjack resource, approximately 60 meters southeast of the most southerly holes drilled in the area to date (044 and 045).

"We are very pleased to see the persistent gold mineralization being exhibited within the quartz arsenopyrite veining in the metasediments, in addition to the intrusive units, and believe that this will ultimately contribute to a very large gold endowment within the cluster of intrusive rocks and surrounding metasediments that make up the Clear Creek Intrusive Complex," the Sitka Gold CEO finished.

Analytical results for an additional nine holes are pending.
