Yellowknife Echoes clear results for Li-FT

Impressive grades returned from second group of pegmatites North of 60 Mining News – December 22, 2023

Li-FT Power Ltd. Dec. 19 announced impressive intercepts from drilling the BIG East and Echo pegmatites on the company's Yellowknife Lithium project east of Northwest Territories' capital.

Last week saw the first results from the Echo target about 50 kilometers (30 miles) to the west, and this week is no different. With the bulk of the highlights revealing that while its primary focus on the Road Accessible Group of targets has continued to return consistent grades, its Further Afield Group is seemingly just as prospective.

Kicking off this batch, BIG East returned some of the highest-grade lithium oxide content the company has seen from its nearly 35,000-meter drill program.

"BIG East continues to deliver wide, high-grade intersections of spodumene: 28 meters at 1.70% is phenomenal. We have a nice high-grade pod of mineralization developing at depth," said Li-FT Power CEO Francis MacDonald.

The latest batch of assays also included results from four more holes drilled at Echo, a Further Afield Group pegmatite that is quickly becoming highly promising for Li-FT.

"Echo is proving up to be very interesting with stacked pegmatites that are shallowly dipping," added MacDonald. "This week's results show greater than 10-meter widths with excellent grades. We are just scratching the surface, having only completed 9 holes in the summer of 2023 at Echo. Finally, Ki also continues to return consistent grades and widths."

The full list of highlights from this week's assays include:

28 meters averaging 1.7% lithium oxide from a depth of 77 meters in hole YLP-0121 (BIG East).

17 meters averaging 1.01% Li2O from 45 meters in YLP-0114 (Ki).

13 meters averaging 1.48% Li2O from 45 meters in YLP-0116 (Echo).

12 meters averaging 1.52% Li2O from five meters in YLP-0124 (Echo).

11 meters averaging 1.42% Li2O from seven meters in YLP-0112 (Echo).

10 meters averaging 1.41% Li2O from six meters in YLP-0106 (Echo).

Finished with its 2023 drill program, Li-FT has so far reported the results from 116 out of its 198 holes drilled and will continue to announce assays as they come in.
