Goliath discovers six Surebet gold veins

North of 60 Mining News - March 8, 2024

New model substantially expands the volume of gold mineralization within the Surebet corridor at Golddigger.

Goliath Resources Ltd. March 4 reported that a new structural model has identified six new gold veins in the Surebet area of its 52,756-hectare (130,363 acres) Golddigger property about 30 kilometers (19 miles) southeast of Stewart, British Columbia.

Goliath had outlined three high-grade gold zones – Surebet, Bonanza Shear, and Golden Gate – along the roughly 1,800-meter-long Surebet corridor.

The company had previously reported that these three interrelated zones host a combined 22.9 million cubic meters of mineralized rock averaging 7.74 grams per metric ton gold-equivalent, which accounts for the value of both the gold and silver.

A new model that integrates all the data from drilling over the previous three years, however, has identified six new zones within this corridor and suggests that the volume of mineralized material could range somewhere between 78 to 97 million metric tons.

The original Surebet Zone, now known as Surebet Upper, is now estimated to host between 28 million and 35 million metric tons of mineralized material.

Bonanza Shear is now estimated to host 12 million to 16 million metric tons of mineralized material.

Golden Gate (Upper and Lower zones) shows a potential range of 4 million to 5 million metric tons of mineralized material.

The new model has also identified six new veins connected to the original zones: Surebet Lower, Big One, Eldorado, Goldzilla, Hotspot, and Whopper.

Surebet Lower, which lies 15 meters below the Surebet Upper zone, is estimated to host 5 million to 7 million metric tons of mineralized material.

Big One is estimated to host 12 million to 15 million metric tons of mineralized material.

Eldorado is estimated to host 8 million to 11 million metric tons of mineralized material.

Goldzilla is estimated to host 4 million to 5 million metric tons of mineralized material.

Hotspot is estimated to host 2 million to 3 million metric tons of mineralized material.

Whopper is estimated to host 2 million to 3 million metric tons of mineralized material.

While a resource has yet to be calculated for the estimated 78 to 97 million metric tons of material in the ten Surebet Corridor zones (counting Golden Gate Upper and Lower as separate veins), the volume and grade of mineralized rock outlined with drilling indicate a substantial gold deposit.

Highlights from drilling through these zones include:

35 meters averaging 24.44 g/t gold-equivalent (Surebet Upper).

10 meters averaging 27.94 g/t gold-equivalent (Bonanza Shear).

Three meters averaging 22.07 g/t gold-equivalent (Golden Gate).

Six meters averaging 11.94 g/t gold-equivalent (Surebet Lower).

Three meters averaging 6.75 g/t gold-equivalent (Big One).

Three meters averaging 11.39 g/t gold-equivalent (Eldorado).

Three meters averaging 4.55 g/t gold-equivalent (Goldzilla).

One meter averaging 1 g/t gold-equivalent (Hotspot).

Four meters averaging 13.6 g/t gold-equivalent (Whopper).

Goliath says the new structural model, together with information from detailed surficial mapping, has vectored in on the key areas where drilling should provide additional continuation and extension of gold mineralized horizons.

The company is currently designing a 2024 drill program designed to delineate the full extent of gold mineralization within the Surebet corridor, as well as expand the potential tonnage within the identified zones and vector in on the potential feeder source.

In addition, the 2024 Golddigger program may include a maiden drill program on the newly discovered Treasure Island and Full Contact targets on the Cambria Icefield claims to the north of Surebet.
