Goliath drills stacks of high-grade gold

North of 60 Mining News - January 10, 2025

Drills cut multiple gold intervals at Golddigger, including 5.2 meters of 34.26 g/t gold and 34.15 g/t silver in the Bonanza Zone.

Goliath Resources Ltd. Jan. 7 reported that its latest batch of assay results continue to confirm the continuity of the expanding Bonanza Zone on the company's Golddigger project in Northern British Columbia.

Golddigger is a 52,756-hectare (130,363 acres) property that runs alongside the "Red Line," a geological contact zone that is the key marker for copper-gold mineralization in Northern B.C. Most of the world-class deposits in the Golden Triangle are found within 2,000 meters of the Red Line.

The gold mineralization Goliath is outlining in the Bonanza and Surebet zones at Golddigger is emerging as another world-class gold deposit along the Red Line.

Drilling completed by Goliath over the previous three seasons outlined three interrelated high-grade gold zones – Surebet, Bonanza Shear, and Golden Gate – along the 1,800-meter-long Surebet Corridor at Golddigger.

While a resource has yet to be calculated, a geological model completed early in 2023 estimates that these zones together host an estimated 22.9 million cubic meters of mineralized rock averaging 7.74 g/t gold-equivalent, which accounts for the value of both the gold and silver.

This model, however, does not include the results from the drilling completed in 2023 or 2024.

Highlights from the 2023 drilling along the Surebet corridor include:

23 meters averaging 18.95 g/t gold and 95.3 g/t silver (21.08 g/t gold-equivalent) in hole GD-23-157.

6.9 meters averaging 5.81 g/t gold and 719.1 g/t silver (14.68 g/t gold-equivalent) in hole GD-23-173.

7.9 meters averaging 64.88 g/t gold and 8 g/t silver (65 g/t gold-equivalent) in hole GD-23-180.

27 meters averaging 11.07 g/t gold and 23 g/t silver (24.83 g/t gold-equivalent) in hole GD23-197.

Goliath reports that visible gold has been observed in 59 out of the 64 holes drilled last year at the Bonanza high-grade zone, a roughly 760-by-410-meter subset of the larger Surebet Corridor. So far, however, the company has received assay results for a handful of holes drilled this year.

Results from the four previously reported 2024 holes include:

5.24 meters averaging 34.26 g/t gold and 34.15 g/t silver (35.04 g/t gold-equivalent).

Five meters averaging 14.55 g/t gold and 9.8 g/t silver (14.68 g/t gold-equivalent) in hole GD-24-237.

8.95 meters averaging 30.39 g/t gold and 16 g/t silver (30.55 g/t gold-equivalent) in hole GD-24-249.

Goliath has now received assays from an additional five holes drilled within the Bonanza high-grade zone.

Goliath Resources Ltd.

GD-24-262, one of the holes included in the latest batch of assays, cut four separate intervals of strong gold mineralization:

Four meters averaging 32.56 g/t gold and 8.92 g/t silver (32.67 g/t gold-equivalent) from a depth of 217 meters (Surebet Zone).

Six meters averaging 13.11 g/t gold and 18.97 g/t silver (13.34 g/t gold-equivalent) from a depth of 369 meters (Bonanza Zone 1).

7.6 meters averaging 13.85 g/t gold and 3.59 g/t silver (13.9 g/t gold-equivalent) from a depth of 446.9 meters (Bonanza Zone 2).

3.2 meters averaging 3.08 g/t gold and 5.65 g/t silver (3.15 g/t gold-equivalent) from a depth of 480.6 meters (Bonanza Zone 3).

Hole GD024-273, which was drilled about 325 meters northwest of GD-24-262 and at the edge of the Bonanza high-grade zone outlined so far, cut two intervals of strong gold mineralization:

5.15 meters averaging 5.46 g/t gold and 41.43 g/t silver (5.97 g/t gold-equivalent) from a depth of 307 meters (Surebet Zone).

8.9 meters averaging 4.64 g/t gold and 17.26 g/t silver (4.85 g/t gold-equivalent) from a depth of 533 meters (Bonanza Zone).

Hole GD024-273, drilled at the northernmost edge of the currently defined Bonanza high-grade zone, cut two intervals of more silver-forward mineralization:

Four meters averaging 1.53 g/t gold and 258.15 g/t silver (4.7 g/t gold-equivalent) from a depth of 47 meters (Surebet Zone).

Eight meters averaging 0.8 g/t gold and 114.46 g/t silver (2.22 g/t gold-equivalent) from a depth of 750 meters (Bonanza Zone).

"We are impressed with the transition to abundant visible gold that also includes coarse-grained visible gold as we drill deeper into the system," said Goliath Resources CEO Roger Rosmus. "In addition, we are excited that as the stacked veins in the Surebet Zone and the Bonanza High-Grade Zone dip in opposite directions, it opens up the possibility for two separate sources more than 2,000 meters apart, or one large source under the various zones."

Assays remain pending for 55 holes out of the 64 holes drilled at the Bonanza and Surebet zones last year, 29 previously drilled holes that are being relogged, and 12 holes drilled last year at Treasure Island, a gold-rich volcanic-hosted massive sulfide target about 36 kilometers (22 miles) north of the Surebet Corridor.

"We are very eager and excited to release additional results as they become available in the immediate future," Rosmus added.
